Regrettably the fabulous Quest Yard Sale has
been postponed due to weather.

The Quest committee was to hold a yard sale Saturday, February 6, to raise funds for the Quest operating budget. However, Mother Nature had other plans for that date - cold and rainy! As we are so close to the Quest event itself, the Yard Sale will be re-scheduled for some time in the spring to help build funds for the grand 25th Year Quest Carolina Roundup in 2011!

No regrets, mes amis. We still want to hear from you! If you have items to donate please do contact us at questroundup@gmail.com.

Quest Steering Committee

March 2010: 24 Years and Counting!

Our best information is that Quest was organized in 1986 by members of The Light Group in Raleigh, North Carolina. The first event was held in a small church in Wilmington, NC. The organizers dubbed it "Connie Comes Clean!"

Soon known as Quest, the event was held twice annually for many years in Wilmington until hurricane Floyd inundated the North Carolina coast in 1999. The HJ Plaza Hotel on Market Street had been Quest's homebase until the hotel became temporary housing for hundreds of utility workers and support personnel in the aftermath of Floyd.

Quest found new meeting space at off-season rates in Myrtle Beach, and the semi-annual event was reduced to once yearly in the early spring. Myrtle Beach continues to be Quest's home, serving as a good strategic location for participants from all over the Southeast and beyond.
